Question re. needles

Recently, I received an e-mail about needles ... tapestry needles. And, I went thru my 'stash' and see I own ONE "My Fav Needle" petite size. I rarely use it, probably because I don't want to lose it.

I own a lot of Piecemaker needles ... they are nice to use ... I have a collection of sizes. I use them often. Probably own more of this brand than any other.

And realize, for the DT Game Board Sampler ... I'm using the John James 'Petites' ... Size 28!!!

I like the John James petites very much. Does it seem to you that the Piecemaker needles have smaller eyes?

I am a HUGE My favorite needle fan and it's about the only needle I ever use. I bought a stock pile of them when they brought them back after not making them for awhile. I was so glad he decided to continue with them. Anything else feels like a baseball bat in my fingers :)

One of these days I am going to have to try some of these needles. I have gotten quite a few kits in the past that came with needles that I just kept them when I was done. I have bunches of needles that came free with kits, but no idea what kind they are. Since they were free, they probably were inexpensive ones. Luckily I've not had any trouble with them, but I'd like to see what difference a nicer or different size needle could make to my stitching.

It's Piecemaker or nothing here. They just hold up so well and glide thru the fabric with such ease. The eye is also rounded and sturdy. If I use cheap needles I can tell because I always break the eye off. They aren't cheap, but hey, I'm worth it.
