Itching for repro sampler stitching

Started this kit -- and when I pulled out the basting thread on the left -- it shows. Not sure if I want to continue this lovely project on this linen. Perhaps a new linen? argh!

I think your definition of "it shows" is really different from mine (LOL). Unless I'm not seeing some staining? I would just recommend running your needle over those spaces that the floss left.

Lelia, I think you can just take a needle and push those threads back over a bit and noone will know any different....seriously...when you get stitching it what little you can see will disappear.I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't pointed out. Hope this helps. I'm sure it will look fine.

I must agree with the ladies above, Lelia! I didn't see any staining from the thread, so just "petting" the fibers should improve its looks. :)

LOL I don't see it at all. Looks like a cute start, too!

I have to say, it's hard to see much if any color in the photo. Maybe it is much worse in person? Have you tried rubbing it with a boo boo stick or soft clean toothbrush? Or do you think dye has rubbed off? I don't suppose stitching will cover that column...

Maybe it's the photo but I can't see it
