tired of the "x"?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy needlework ... I'm just weary of the sampler I've been working on. All cross stitch. Just another x. Maybe a floss change. Soon some Palestrina Knots ... but the x , x , x .... is it just me? Does anybody else tire of the same ol 'x'??? I had to pull out something else. This wonderful Herbal Sachet kit uses cotton floss, perle cotton, silk, metallic -- some beads -- and a break from the 'x' ... some specialty stitches.
Such a nice kit. Keeps my stitching area tidy : )

What fun to see your stitching area! You have some great projects on display there! And I love your pin/magnet collection. As for just stitching "x's," currently that's about all I can manage, and sometimes only with one color per project. LOL! But seriously, it's the variety that keeps all of us stitching, right?

Too many Xs? That's why I also do needlepoint. Sometimes even a / that covers a square (using some beautiful Rainbow Gallery thread) is a nice break from DMC.

A VS project is always good when needing a change from your average "x". :D

Some speciality stitches are nice once in a while :)

Well I'm boring I could cross x's all day :) But I'm also not as talented as you are :) so...I guess that is the trade off...no matter if your doing delicate specialty stitchers are just crossing plain 'ol X's you always, ALWAYS do super work :)

I think we all have those moments when anything but a X is needed :) I have that Lavender sachet ready to be stitched too - seeing yours started makes me want to pick mine up and start too ... that's the problem with blogs, it's too contagious and helps give you a healthy dose of startitis ;)

The x's suit my current status pretty well now, but when things are calmer, I've really enjoyed trying different specialty stitches, prim sewing, even (gasp!) making stuff on the sewing machine. It ebbs and flows. Love your lavender sachet!
