~*My Favorite Kitten*~Pinkeep

~*My Favorite Kitten*~Pinkeep
c. primitivebettys/Betty Dekat 2008
I bought the pattern at my LNS, House of Stitches

I seem to have that sniffle, throat, achey bug which has been tagged by my family
I was keeping my fingers crossed that I'd remain un-bugged.

I pulled out this charming Kitten Pinkeep pattern & an unknown 32-count linen piece from my stash.
I used DMC floss (3721, 3021, 926, 221, 422, 413, 3051)
I made one small change in the design. I changed the cross to a heart
-- I now realize my linen is 32 ct & the kitten outline is for 30 ct linen
I may have to adjust a bit before I cut out the linen and fabric (for the back)
I found an old piece of woven red fabric -- maybe a wool blend -- which I'd like to use, but not sure if it is large enough. I may have to use one of my cotton fabrics

Before I'm asked ... I bought the Thread Rings at Hobby Lobby. They were in the bead aisle, 2/card, marked down 50%
I really like the color & they are easy to use
I found some mother of pearl rings at Michael's, too -- about 5-6 rings to a card. Didn't buy them, but nice to know they are available

In addition to the primitivebetttys Kitten Pinkeep, I have the primitivebettys Spring Tyme pattern in my stash

I may have enough linen left over to make the scissor fob, from the freebies section!

Be well -- Stitch Well!!!

Your kitten pinkeep it going to be adorable. I love the fabric you chose and can't wait to see the backing fabric.

Sorry you don't feel well. I hope the bug passes you by. I was not so lucky and it has not been any fun this year. Here is hoping for the best. Take care!

As I mouth-breathe while typing this, unable to breathe through my nose for about a week now, I wish you a speedy recovery from ... whatever this miserable bug is that seems to be roaming the entire planet. Take care.

Love the kitty!!

This is such a lovely design, I can see why it's so popular! The unfinished kitty looks intriguing :o)
Hope the bugs flee very quickly.

This is such a cute design.
I have this kitten made up - I went a little overboard with the walnut crystals to give it that prim look and now it looks a bit rough!
Yours is looking lovely :)
