Scissor Case Finish

I did get the sides closed up -- used DMC 312 pc#5 -- Long Arm Cross Stitch

I found a container of misc beads -- I've been sorting and bagging them
Now ... back to laundry & ironing

As much as I enjoy scissors, I admit using & loving these Gingher thread snippers
They are just easier for me to use than scissors!
I bought my Gingher 4" snips at JoAnn Fabrics (with a 50% off coupon)
Does anybody else use these? Aren't they great?

I don't use Gingher's little snips, but I do love their little scissors for snipping thread! When I hide my thread ends in the double stitches for tatting nothing gives me a cleaner closer cut than my little Ginghers! I love them so much I got a pair with leopard print handles and I just ordered a custom painted tatting shuttle w/ a leopard print to match them, LOL! Stay tuned! I'll be posting once I get them! :)

Hi Lelia,

I'm trying to type this around my
cat Phoebe who insists on sleeping
in my arms. You know you can't
argue with a cat!!!

I think the books you're thinking
of are Philip Pullman's Golden
Compass trilogy. There was a movie
made of the first book a few years
ago with Nicole Kidman. I have
read these three books as well,
but I loved the Inkheart series
more.

Your scissors case is looking
beautiful. Is it stitched on
plastic canvas??? Love the blue
colours and the beading on it.
The smaller case in the pastel
colours is very pretty too.

I don't have any Gingher scissors.
I have a pair of Rooster shaped
scissors and your standard stork
shaped scissors. The thread
cutter that you prefer looks cool.
How does it work I wonder???

I've always loved the Drawn
Thread's Sampler Board and am so
glad that you got yours back out
to stitch on again. It is so
pretty and would be a wonderful
addition to your finishes. I have
it in my stash too. Perhaps
someday, when I finish Wayward
Garden, I'll start that one.

I've heard of the Guernsey
Literary and Potato Peel Pie
Society from somewhere, but
can't think where. Maybe in
a book review?? Anyways, it
looks good. I'd read the book
though.

The flowers from your DH are
just gorgeous!!!

You got to meet the Spinster
Stitcher??? Oh lucky you!!
I love reading Coni's blog.
Is she as funny in person???

Cheers!

I don't have the Gingher snips, but did have something similar that I like to carry in my stitching bag.

It's very pretty with the addition of the beads. You have some lovely beads in your collection.
The Gingher snips look fabulous - thanks for the recommendation. I will be on the lookout for them.

pretty colors you choose for the case.
I collect Ginghers, but they are too sharp for me to have around my needlework, lol
