Monday's Mail .....

My beautiful sister sent me - Gay Swift's book:
paging thru for a couple hours!!!

I picked this up 2nd hand - I confess, I liked the front cover.
Then read the first story - and bought the book.   Simply written and
quite easy to read.   I look forward to more short stories!

books ...

I am enjoying this book by Betsy Franco.  It is, so far about a college student, Jesse, touching Rodin's sculpture, Meditation ... and, Camille Claudel comes to life!   This was a win from Goodreads.    It is easy to read and so far - very interesting.

Visited 2nd hand book store ... and picked up:

as it had photograph of Camille and information about how her presence changed the way he looked at women.   Per this book.

Of course, while browsing shelves - found this book about Virginia Gautreau, the woman in John Singer Sargent's portrait.  it is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art,

Madame X (Madame Pierre Gautreau).

Oh, and I found Francine Prose!   I had  read a book review about this + was happy to get this hardcover one for $3.50.
