Birds of a Feather

Another gem I unearthed. Pattern & over-dye floss, sitting in the bag since ... well, since I bought it : ) I've seen this one stitched up & wondered how it would look with the lettering in a different color. I changed the dk green overdye suggested for the lettering & tried WDW Dolphin. It is a nice shade of grey/blue.

Soweth Sampler 81 x 81 c.Birds of a Feather. I'm using Week's Dye Works on 29-count natural glenshee linen.

This is more about counting & spacing ... than stitching! Should look nice once I get the lettering finished & start the vines, leaves & flowers.

Enjoy your week-end.

  1. It should look lovely when done. Glad you had such fun and found such nice projects when you were going through your stash. The pulled thread Teacup one was beautiful as well.

  3. Some BOAF patterns are like that - more counting than stitching. Ask me how many times I've tried to get Counting Magpies in the right places! LOL

  9. Great choice for the colour change. It's lovely when a colour swap not only works but actually enhances the piece as well - lovely stuff as usual Lelia :) x
