"Right Bird" Block finished

This is "Right Bird" 35x36. I want to stitch "Left Bird" 35x36 next! LOL. There are 18 block to stitch & I have stitched five.

NEW LIST: I'm considering a new list for my stitching hobby. No, it isn't the oldest WIP in the closet ... I'm thinking to look at WHICH kits + projects cost me the most $$$ and focus on those.

It is three degrees with wind chills ... the boys have early dismissal at school. Then, we run errands. How boring!! DH is planning some days off work, too. Not sure if I'll get any stitching accomplished.

Judy asked me about my doll, Sarah [in the picture]. It is made by Merry Makers, Inc.. I have had Sara several years. Sarah was gift from my SIL, purchased during her trip to Williamsburg, VA.

A year later, My MIL bought me a Betsey doll from Colonial Williamsburg Marketplace mail order catalog, and web site. After a few years, my MIL saw to it that I had them all : )

The collection of dolls are still available. Margaret; Eve; William; Betsey; and Sarah

This is the first project I finished stitching in 2007 -- and the answer to SBQ

Today's SBQ is: Have you had a happy dance yet this year? If so, tell us about it! (Or just point to the entry that talks about it.) If not, when do you predict it will be?The permalink to this post is Renée's Blog

Some stitching accomplished ...

Had lots to do yesterday; however, did manage to finish the border. I would like to get this stitched up today.

To respond to questions: Thanx for all the comments & questions. I seem to be getting more e-mails lately as blogger comment section is iffy at times. I, too, have had times when I couldn't leave comments. (sigh) I am using 32-count sand belfast linen. I changed one of the suggested over-dye fibers. Other than that, I'm using what the pattern calls for. I want to make this into a smallish pillow. The pink over dye fiber is delightful!!!

If you have not visited Monique's blog ... run right over there for some kewl & exciting stitchie-sort of news.

It continues to snow ... lightly. Maybe we will just have more flurries this afternoon.

Country Garden WIP

Country Garden by Blackbird Designs was my MIOM* project. I'm using Week's Dye Works & Sampler Threads on 32ct Sand Belfast Linen. The stitch count is 65W x 71H.

I first noticed this project on Chelle's Blog (post dated 21 July 2005). Chelle stitched this TWICE! It is a fun, hard-to-put-down project :D

Thank you Karenv for your linen suggestions. I have double checked my stash & found a linen that might work with the Week's Dye Works - Curry. I think your 'dirty linen' would be an excellent choice for the pear.
