I used 1" curved wooden mould/bead.   DMC Pearl Cotton 8, Col. 3348.

This is the June Challenge Button -- "We Learn From Each Other".

Pattern is Five-Pointed Star by Karin Koenig,

from the Knöpfe Facebook Group.

 

43: Rose Embroidered Button

Ok, 1.5" wooden mould.   DMC Perle 8.

Colors 778 & 738

 Pgs. 95-98.

Might choose silk fiber if I were to 

give this another try.

 

45: French Coat Button

 

 Woven diamond shapes are 

quite a challenge for me.   This is 1.5" wooden mould.   DMC Coton Perle 224 in sizes 8 and 12.

I used a 1" wooden bead.

Button 24: Schaumburg Star w/Foil .... Costume Button

 Schaumburg star w/foil + Needle weave points.

1" wooden bead.   DMC Perle 8 Color 321.

This button was created a few months ago, and I didn't care for the one I made then.  

Button w/Foil post ...

  I even added an edge.

I didn't think it was quite 'right', based on

the instruction and photographs in the book.

I like the new one.   I used a smaller button mold.   Actually a wooden bead.  

About an inch in size.   I started with DMC Perle 8, Color 321.

Switched to Coton Perle 5, Color 367 + Color 321.

The shiny paper was from a Hallmark envelope.

Button 41: Krumbacher Vest Button

I used a 24/25mm wooden bead (mold).

Turquoise Lizbeth 20 657 for corner anchors.

Turquoise Coton Perle DMC 8, Color 996.

DMC Diamant Gold metallic (Art. 380) D3852.

 

Button 37: Button w Diamond (design)

Diamond (design), square frame w/woven corners.

I used a 1.5" wooden button mould.

DMC Coton Perle, size 3 - colors 926, 924

DMC Coton Perle size 5 - color 926

So the perle size 3 is wider & softer, outside edge made with perle size 5.

 

Button 35: Middle Franconian Almond Button (with edge)

An almond shape edge - for sure.

Unique!

Button mould 1.5".

Edge added was

DMC Coton Perle size 5.

Colors 210 and 208.

The button had #827 (blue) and 445 (yellow)

DMC size 5 -- and edge added.

 

Button #36 w/edge added ....

 

  Added a light purple edge.

I think it looks better ...

(DMC #5 Coton Perle, color 210).

Yes, like it better.

Lavinia, the purple edge was a good suggestion.

Sometime, I am just too close - knew it needed "something" .

(edge in DMC #5 Coton Perle, color 552)

I may add edges to a couple other buttons -- it does make the colors nicer looking.

the border was usually black, purple, green or red.

Thus, I used 1.5" wooden button mould.
