using the box to my HK mug to rest her chin!

And, some good news via my e-mail ... I'm next in line for the traveling pattern,
Bent Creek's (The Littles) Bunny.
It is coming from Annie - you can see what she did
with her stitched bunny HERE.    You may recall the pattern from
Lee's blog -- her post Much Traveled Bunny.
I'll post when I have it stitched + I understand
there are two more stitchers in line for the pattern.

Enjoy the day - stitch well.

Honey & Nikki

EDITED ---
Q: "Love your cats...question, do they ever fight?"
A: No, they are compatible. They usually lick each other - nap together - sit together. They share the same food + water dish (tho, Honey Bunny sneaks into the dog's water bowl all the time - I'm not sure why)

Nikki in the basket
Honey curled up on the desk

Too cute!
Wanted to share ....

Awww ...

I came into the room to find BOTH cats in BOTH baskets. Maybe I should have purchased TWO of them : )

I went over to Hobby Lobby to buy a new basket. They are 50% off this week. Nikki broke the rim off the old one (brown one) & the whole basket started to unwind!!!

brutal storms passed thru ...

Thank you to everybody for all your kind remarks & e-mails re. my fair entries. And, I wish you could have seel all the marvelous projects on display. Mine are ok, but many were exceptional needlework efforts. I have not spent much time on-line b/c of the storm activity we are having.
Yesterday afternoon, I was out running errand -- on my way home ... at the horizon, I noticed some cruel, charcoal greyish clouds. As I continued to make my way home, they continued to rise in the sky -- like a shelf of green-grey clouds.Yes, I made it home without incident. Was grateful to be indoors. The two cats were curled up. It is hard to be anxious while watching those peaceful pets nap : ) Alex was told to leave his job & go home. (He finished whatever he was doing before classes today) we didn't have the next batch of storms until after dinner -- and lots of thunderstorm activity during the night thru dawn. We are doing ok. We have power. There are many without. I hear the rain should continue off/on most of the day & the week-end will be clear of activity.
-------------------
Since the boys have been back in high school, I've been tearing into housework & all that fun stuff. It is easier to accomplish with nobody around. The three curious kitties are always in the way while I unearth the clutter in Alexander's bedroom. Esp. Mrs. Mom Cat b/c I have found several of her kittie toys around the room!!! I made a lot of progress yesterday & hope to finish organizing his "stuff" today. Saturday, Alex & I will move the furniture around & get his carpet in shape. Once I get things back in order, I'll try to get some stitching accomplished.

Enjoy the day : )

fa la la la la ....

This is the ornament my Mother stitched for our daughter, VicTORIa [ha!!]

And, yes, two of the cats are getting along very well. Aren't they sweet?

I got some packages out to MIL, SIL/BIL, Mom last week -- with ornaments. My Mom liked hers ... verdict still out with Mother-in-Law, Sister-in-Law & Brother-in-Law.

Thanks a million for all the comments, e-mails, and cards. I appreciate your visit to my blog + comments. After the break ... I will enjoy visiting blogs & seeing all the new stitchie stuff. Needlechat is so much fun. Yes, I'll pick up some stitching after the New Year.

It is nine degrees outside .... brrrrr

The work on our bedroom ceiling is finished. I was planning to roll up the drop cloths & put my 'corner' back in place ... didn't want to wake our Prince Nikki.
Mrs. Kitty is doing well. (my husband continues to call her "kitty" & made mention she really needs a name) Last night, she brought three mouse toys to my husband while he was asleep ... and proceeded to play with them. She has attached her affection to him & I laugh because he is such a 'dog' person.

I have no stitching news. I have been diligently working on the storage areas in our home & have ONE MORE place to clean, sort, pitch junk and tidy-up. By my glance at the calendar, I need to get my ornaments stitched! I continue to post on my SOL II blog and my xanga book blog. With the changes at xanga, I may delete the whole thing. Something to think about for 2007.
