Buttons: 91, 92, 93 Knotted buttons

I have these in the finishing process.    I looked high and low for a needle with an eye large enough to thread the nylon rattail cord.  No luck.   Went to the craft store and picked out this set of upholstery needles.  Have the cord tucked in w/some glue.  Made a little shank for sewing.

92: Knotted Button - Monkey's Fist

I used two different nylon rattail cords.

Here are the three types of knotted buttons - in one photograph.
Turk's Head (white, lt blue), 2 Monkey's Fist (purple, lime), Ball (blue/white) .

It is my understanding they can be used with buttonhole; however,
usually are created for frog style closures.

Button: Dorset Buttons

Cartwheel
Dorset Button
Pattern by Anna McDowell.

I had a class / zoom (earlier this year)

try using a different fiber (than what was in the kit).
The white one - was made
during class.

For the 2nd ring:
I used Anchor Mercer Crochet 10
Col. 1012.  Lot. 722314

Questions Questions Questions ....

.... and , no -- don't have all the answers.

I'm kind of new at making buttons.

I took classes thru The Lace Museum virtual education.

There is a class listed right now for Beginning Zwirnknöpf Buttons.

There are tutorials - you tube video - instruction sheets online.
You  may want to start HERE.     https://henrysbuttons.co.uk/worksheets-and-tutorials.html.
or HERE.   https://www.ginabsilkworks.co.uk/videos.

Photo above white button from zoom class.
The other rings I tried (am creating) on my own from a book.

There are 'tools' needed ie
ring(s), needle, fiber;
optional:  clips, celtic shuttles, tweezers, rubber gripper.

Stay tuned ....
