Update

I had a good time with the New Knitter Mitts (Skacel) ... it was a kit.   DD also has a kit!

Started another kit, Montana Mitts -- Wool and the Gang.   Knitting done on one, starting the 2nd one soon.

knitted beverage cozy  .   Enjoyed the cable pattern.   This kit was from 10,000 Villages.

New hat for DH.   Ann Norling Pattern, spiral rib hat.  I've knitted a few hats with this pattern.

Matese bag - which needs to be sewn together!!!  I'm undecided about making a lining for the bag.   I really liked the pattern, the Berroco yarn, espresso is now discontinued : (       I did manage to find some espresso in green colors.   Hope to knit a 2nd bag in this pattern soon.

While visiting Montana in 2017, my sister gave me some fibers. We were at 2nd hand store & I found knitting needles -- this trim/edge pattern was on line. interweave.com/article/needlework/weldons-mystery-project-knitted-lace-edging/
So, I knitted the edge in 2017 -- and the pattern and knitting became separated! "

A few days ago, I found the knitted trim, still on the knitting needles.     Bound off and not sure where I'll put this knitted piece.

Here are a few of the rectangles I've knitted.   They will be donated to Warm Up America -- once I knit up the rest of the acrylic yarn I own.

September is National Sewing month .... The above photo part of a gift for DF.   The origami bag is useful for any kind of project!   And the ort container is really fun to make.   I think I have sewn up 4 of them (to be given away).   I like to add yo-yo's ; however , buttons look pretty good on the containers, too.

Do you have left over fabric --- try a pattern .... link HERE.

Multiple dischcloths!!!   Probably too many to post.

Small mug rug with left-over cotton yarn (takes apx 20 yards)

Aside from fiber arts & sewing ..... I've been enjoyed zentangle classes - and on-line videos.

 Filled one sketchbook of this-n-that.
And, coloring - I enjoy the pages from Johanna Basford.   Her illustrations are great fun for for me to fill in with color --- I prefer coloring pencils.

knit ...

This is Orbit, Woolenberry pattern.   Made for and gifted to Mom.  I think she likes it.

Portfolio, made with yarn from Philadelphia, given to my Sister-in-Law for her birthday.   She likes to wear it.  Yay!

A fun kit, from 10,000 Villages.  Knitting finished.  Need to grab needle and thread to turn this into a cup cozy.   I have another pattern, by Kelli Slack, for a beverage sleeve.   I think I'd like to knit it, too.

Since a GF showed me how to knit diagonal dishcloths, I've made a few!  Also, some new-to-me patterns from a Ravelry dishcloth group.   One pattern chosen each week.    This yellow one has a nice texture.

I purchased this yarn bowl from Etsy Sumiko.    I adore this yarn bowl.   there are oodles of choices available; however, this one makes my heart sing!

I've knitted a couple hats this fall.  And have lovely red yarn (Rios) for another!

I found this Wool and the Gang kit at JoAnn Fabrics.   They are a quick project and have really come in handy this winter.   while they can be used as is, with the bitter cold, I've been slipping over my gloves! and, with coupons, I have yarn to make another pair.   Oh winter, I look forward to your departure.

This set in "Rose", Lion Brand 24/7 cotton yarn.

 Or, this set in "Aqua"?

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

Fiber Fun

"F"inished -- Leafy Lisa Shawlette.  Pattern by Kelli Slack.   I used Misty Alpaca Chunky.  After the practice piece - the real wrap was easier to knit.   The chunky yarn was my first time using -- i got used to it after a few rows.     Below, practice piece 'wrap' for souvenir doll.

In photo below, B E E S W A X!   From GF.     Local friend's DH has hives - and I am supposed to keep this sealed up ... yet it has such a fine scent!     I have not had my sewing out (will this week, need to tidy up some origami bags) and will use on my thread.

My progress (sorry, not finish) of the Woolenberry KAL.   Herald by Woolenberry.    The yarn is lovely to knit - Blooming Yarns Cashino.
... and, Antarktis by Woolenberry.    Sadly, only a few more rows added ...

Radiating Hearts pattern by Evelyn Clark - probably for Lace Day raffle ... I used Lion Brand 24/7 cotton yarn.

Dishcloth dresses, patterns by Debbie Trainor.

update

I have continued to knit Antarktis (pattern by Janina Kallio).  Yarn is wood rose, BloomingYarns Cashino.   Also a few more rows on hitchhikker wrap (no curent pic)

News.  In the current Piecework Magazine,
my knitted Lace No. 10 photo is on pg. 4.  I know.  How cool is that?
more info on the trim, LINK HERE.

I struggled with dishcloths knitted on the diagonal.   GF, Sue, had knit these many times.  She patiently showed me the ropes, and I finally got the hang of it.  Sugar n Creme yarn, size 9 needles.

... and, once I had the 'know how' knit this for GF Amy.  Pattern is Leisure Arts, Love to Knit Dishcloths by Evelyn A. Clark, called Radiating Hearts.  Sugar n Creme.

... this free pattern was from Yarnspiration web site -- link HERE.  Sugar n Creme yarn.

This is  new-to-me yarn, Lion Brand 24/7, cotton.    Pattern is Leaf Lace dishloth ...  link HERE.

I like to have my fav needles close at hand + worry about ruining the points.   I have been using this wonderful woven pouch + it is perfect.

Toys -- did you see the sheep shape stitch markers?

I wasn't sure about the yarn-it, yet, when I saw the sale, bought a pink one.   I hope to keep the "hat" yarn free of cat fur.   oh, the shedding.

Fusing ... embellishing.   More photos - link here.

My iron is a mess -- a gust of wind blew the mistyfuse into the iron plate.   After cleaning the iron, I am looking forward to making this owl kit w/DD.
