Yorkshire Button / Pumpkin

DMC Perle Cotton 5, Col. 946.  I skipped the greet stem.

Suggested fiber is tapestry wool - which I didn't have enough copper color, so used perle coton instead.   Guessing coverage would be better with DK yarn or tapestry wool.

Back to School, looking back over the Summer activities

Fortunate to visit Dallas, TX in August.   Return to Infinity, Yayoi Kusama

at the Dallas Museum of Art.

I attended the IOLI Convention for a week - with Wednesday "free day"

where I chose to visit the museum.

Went to the $2 Tuesday Day,  at the Indiana State Fair

with DD.   We ate our way thru all the vendors!!

I visited the Art Institute a couple of times -- Excellent exhibits of Gustave Caillebotte, The Sculptures from the Torlonia Collection, Frida Kahlo / Mary Reynolds Month in Paris, and WOW'd by Raqib Shaw's Paradise Lost.  Lunch out doors around the fountain / courtyard.

Enjoyed concerts -- Robin Trower in Nashville, IN

French Country IV: Pumpkin

I stitched the design back in 2006 & just got around to finishing it. Posted the particulars HERE. I finished the edges with seed beads. I used the french word for Pumpkin.

This is about 3.5" x 3.5". I'm thinking small pillow for table decoration. This looks better than I thought it would!!

Tonight, I'm going to be stitching on the Scissor Pocket. Another project using beautiful autumn colour. Thankx for all the comments and private e-mails. Stitchers Rock.

Just a bit more on the pumpkin & the lettering ...

This was my choice for last Monday. It is JBW Designs: French Country IV - Pumpkin. I stitched on it a couple days & misplaced it. Found it earlier today in my car. I'm using Burnt Orange - Sampler Threads.

Tomorrow, I think I'm going to pick up my Acorn Sampler Afghan & work on a square.
