Button 34: Diamond (design) w/smooth rounds tied w/weaving

So this is a woven diamond (which I've become better at creating),

with a frame of wraps and some needle weaving.

I used a 1.5" wooden button mould.

DMC size 5 Coton Perle in colors 815 & 799.

 As for the book, it is available, for sale;

however, if interested -- it is in the process of being translated into English.

Repeat of Button 33 -- a do over.

Square button (design) w/smooth rounds

tied with weaving.

Gave this button pattern another try.

I struggled with the (previous post) button created with traditional fiber colors

 - thought I'd better try it again, to make it look better.

Added more wraps for better button mould coverage and seemed to 

have straighter 'green' stripes.

All these button patterns are new-to-me

and I'm interested in learning how they are made,

interesting in remembering how to make them,

and enjoy selecting fibers from my stash.

This was made on 1.5" button mould.

Anchor pearl cotton perle size 5.

Colors 858, 300, 893. 

 

Button #33: Square (design) Button

This button, is a square (design) w/smooth

rounds tied w/weaving.

Did I say challenging?   No?   It was a challenge.

For me - Square on round mould, a challenge.

I used 1.5" button mould.

DMC Coton Perle #5.

Colors 3347, 208, 498 

Button 32: Square (design)

(Similar to previous button - which was worked from the center to outer corner anchors.)

Square button (design) worked from the outside corner anchors to the middle.

I used 1.5" button mould.   DMC #5 Coton Perle 823.

Anchor #5 Pearl Cotton Perle 893, 300, 121, 858.

P.S. The button numbers are assigned by our instructor.   We have a checklist of button types/styles

which we are creating thru the three terms of these sessions.

And, I have a few more to create before Wednesday's zoom ....
