Yesterday afternoon, I was out running errand -- on my way home ... at the horizon, I noticed some cruel, charcoal greyish clouds. As I continued to make my way home, they continued to rise in the sky -- like a shelf of green-grey clouds.

Since the boys have been back in high school, I've been tearing into housework & all that fun stuff. It is easier to accomplish with nobody around. The three curious kitties are always in the way while I unearth the clutter in Alexander's bedroom. Esp. Mrs. Mom Cat b/c I have found several of her kittie toys around the room!!! I made a lot of progress yesterday & hope to finish organizing his "stuff" today. Saturday, Alex & I will move the furniture around & get his carpet in shape. Once I get things back in order, I'll try to get some stitching accomplished.
Enjoy the day : )

Lelia,
Yes it was very bad yesterday out in your neck of the woods...Chicago had a terrbile mess at the airports too. I can't believe how big your "little" kitty has become. It seems it wasn't too long ago he/she found her way to your home as little tiny furbaby.
Glad that you're OK and surviving the storms :)
We had 5 inches of rain last night, and parts of town are flooded. The sirens were going off, but I'm not sure why. There weren't any official NWS warnings, but we could see clouds moving in opposite directions. Other areas got it much worse from what I have heard. Glad to hear that you weathered the storm okay :)
So nice when the kids go back to school and you can find your house again!! :) I'm looking forward to hearing what your thinking process is in finding what you're gonna stitch next!
Hugs,
Deb in FL
Glad to hear everything was ok at your place. My area of Michigan was hit pretty hard as well, I was fortuate and didn't have any damage either. Sounds like this storm left a real mess in its wake at a lot of places.

I'm glad the storms didn't affect you too badly! It sounds like you're enjoying having the kids back in school (well, if by enjoying, I mean, you're getting a chance to put the place back together!)
Glad you made it home without incident, in regard to the storms. And you're doing housework! Wow, there's something I ought to try! ;)
Lelia - glad to hear that the storms passed through and everyone was okay.
You sure turned some fabulous results at all of the fairs this summer.
Your package arrived yesterday - I'll be sending you a separate thank you by email later today. Playing catch up right now!
Glad to hear that you and your family are safe after the storms.
Thunderstorms don't occur here as frequently as they do in your area. We finally had a nice one last Thursday evening where I sat outside with my kids and watched it come in. But greenish clouds - that's scary!!
Hope that it lets up soon for you. I love when I get a quiet persiod to just clean. I'm not all that excited about housework, but I just feel so much better when I sit back and relax.
