And who doesn't like free stuff????

This is a scrap of linen I used to learn how to make the acorns for the sampler pictured below.

Are you thinking ... so what?
I noticed one of our friends is giving the pattern away

Our GF, Marjorie has the pattern & fibers for a GIVEAWAY on her blog Moonsilk Stitches.

If you are interested in having this pattern (and supplies) go to her blog and leave a comment on her post!!!

I love your close-up of the stitched acorn. Very nice! I have the Hillside Samplings pattern but never got around to doing it. Gee, can't imagine what could have distracted me.

You've done an excellent job of the acorn. I love charts by Hillside Samplings, they have lots of pretty specialty stitches and use great coloured fibres.

Actually, Lelia, I wasn't thinking "so what," I was thinkin', "isn't that pretty!" LOL I think acorns are having a comeback, and looks like you're getting ready for it. I just loved looking over your blog tonight. So many beautiful and fun things to see...
