I managed a few letters in the sampler. I think my left hand is healed and I should be able to get moving along on some projects.

I am still baffled that needlework caused so much pain in my hand, while tatting didn't bother me at all. It remains a mystery.

It's odd, the things that cause pain and those that do not. I'm glad you were able to get some stitching done. How was your May Day?
Wishing you stitching success - great sampler, love the tree. Thank you for sharing, I look forward to seeing your progress.
I saw a hand doc last week for problems with my left hand. He said the pain at the base of my thumb was common with
"needlepointers"--from holding the hoop--that gripping motion. Yep, that's it. For me, knitting is worse than stitching, tho. I also had two additional issues with my thumb (bone spurs in the knuckle and an inflamed tendon for which I got a cortisone shot). Ice helps.
Glad to see that you have been able to do a little stitching. Hope your hand is healing!
