I have attempted my first cord with the lucet. I'm using:
Lucet Braiding: Variations On A Renaissance Cord by Elaine Fuller.
I used some crochet cotton - size 3. With practice, I should
get a better tension.
There is a lot of information on-line & this was quick
and fun to make.

We had a class last year on lucent braiding at EGA. I missed the class, ugh. At least I'll be able to look it up online and figure out what to do! Good luck with it. Makes a nice diversion from twisted cord.
This is interesting, and I tried the link but it failed three times. I'll just try to Google. Thanks for sharing. Patsye
Isn't it fun? A carry-aroundable craft, too. I've been told lucet braid shoe laces stay tied--because of the squareness of the braid.
You are always working on the most interesting things! I believe I have an old leaflet or magazine article about the lucet, but not a lucet itself. Looks like fun to me!
