A quiet stitching blog

I haven't been stitching very often; tho I do have a couple tabletoppers going this Winter.

And what a winter we are enduring. I know there are those of you who enjoy snow - I'm not one of those people. Give me a Spring or Fall day --- and I'm happiest!

I've been learning & practicing tatting skills.
I am still a beginner; however, have been able to gradually use finer fibers.
I started with crochet cotton size 3 & a large tatting shuttle.
Now, I'm comfortable with crochet cotton size 10 & even 20 --- hope to be able to learn more skills with reverse work.
Next, I have a heart pattern (& bookmark with similar technique) - I've given it some practice & hope to finish one soon.

Your tatting looks wonderful. I've always been intrigued by tatting. It looks so hard, but then again, I've never looked at a set of directions, just drooled over finished pieces. You did a great job!

I don't tate, but I have crocheted with thin thread, and you do have you get use to the feel. I love tating and someday would love someone to show me. I'm not good with instructions or figuring it out myself. Once I have the principles I could figure out a pattern. Very nice work.
