Buttons + Pins
I had seen this all stitched up at
Inspired Needle
and HAD to buy the pattern + ingredients right away.
So, I wondered how long it had been sitting in my stitching basket.
I looked on my blog, according to this blog post,
I last added stitches on 11 January 2010.
As I picked up my linen and fibers, I enjoyed finishing up the outside border of diamond shapes.
The basket is made with chain stitches.
Flowers are made with buttonhole stitches.

I like the design...but then, it is Blackbird and they are always nice...looking forward to seeing it finished.
Isn't it amazing how a project is a must have...and then it drifts off into UFO land?

Looks like a great start - I am always daunted by special stitches but I know they will be worth it.
I finished this one a long time ago . . . except for adding the buttons. Seeing yours makes me want to get mine finished now. I need a finishing day!!
The specialty stitches will really rock this one out! I love Blackbird...
