Back to School, looking back over the Summer activities

Fortunate to visit Dallas, TX in August.   Return to Infinity, Yayoi Kusama
at the Dallas Museum of Art.

I attended the IOLI Convention for a week - with Wednesday "free day"
where I chose to visit the museum.
More LINK HERE re. my tatting & needle lace classes, purchases, etc.

A lot to see in the museum.  For the textile readers of this blog, I chose these to share:

Went to the $2 Tuesday Day,  at the Indiana State Fair
with DD.   We ate our way thru all the vendors!!

I visited the Art Institute a couple of times -- Excellent exhibits of Gustave Caillebotte, The Sculptures from the Torlonia Collection, Frida Kahlo / Mary Reynolds Month in Paris, and WOW'd by Raqib Shaw's Paradise Lost.  Lunch out doors around the fountain / courtyard.

Enjoyed concerts -- Robin Trower in Nashville, IN

& Beck at Ravinia, IL:

Yayoi Kusama is very popular in Japan. I had no idea this art was in the US. You can’t just pop into the Tokyo museum, you have to buy a timed ticket online the month before. The museum website is in Japanese, but the Tokyo Cheapo website has some English info. Lucky you to see the Dallas Exhibit!
