Stitches of Life: My blog for knitting, sewing, buttons, reading, needlework; frequent visits to local exhibits, gatherings with friends + creative events.
Got started on this repro. Doing more counting than stitching! The cross stitch & Double Back Stitch is over three threads. I should have these three bands completed by the end of February
I am using silk [from the kit] on 40-count linen
Moon Garden
Not much progress ...
Happy Hearts Sampler SAL
I'm having problems reading the chart. It has small boxes & small symbols. I'm going to have to get it enlarged at the copy center (inbetween snow storms) before I start on the motifs. Meanwhile, I continue on the alhabet letters.
Just had to buy these flowers at the grocery market
Great stitching, Lelia! And do go for the enlargement. I did that with a Brightneedle pattern that was giving me fits, and all of a sudden, the project was fun again! :)
Going great with the stitching! The new sampler is going to be gorgeous. Enlarged copies save the day!! For me...enlarged copies and a highlighter keep me on track. The flowers are beautiful and remind us that spring WILL come.
Thank you for the beautiful progress pic on Ann Holewll. I'm also in this SAL and am using silks on the 35 count. I've only gotten as far as serging the fabric and basting my starting line. I am really wanting to stitch on her this weekend but have an obligation piece that make keep me from doing so.
Maybe not a lot of progress on any single one, but when put together the progress on each I think you got a lot done. Moon Garden in particular I'm enjoying grow.
Loved seeing the flowers. This time of year with it so snowy and cold they are especially pretty and appreciated. Sue

You're making some good progress on your pieces.
Funny, you'll go out and get copies in between snow storms. I'm so tired of winter it's not even funny.
Your flowers are gorgeous. I might have to go buy myself some to liven up my house and push off the winter blahs.
All your pieces are looking great!

Your Wip's look great. I'm starting to have trouble reading some of the smaller graphs too, although I hate to admit it ;-)
Lovely flowers! I just bought a pot of yellow chrysanthemums at the store, I was desperate for a wee bit of colour.
Some lovely flowers and beautiful designs. I love the sampler and will look forward to watching it grow.
