This is my version of Pear Tree from the 2006 JCS Orn magazine - designed by Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks. I used 32-count Confed Grey Linen with Dried Thyme + Nutmeg (GAST), Amber (WDW), #341 & #375 Anchor floss. The 'pot' is a variation of a freebie from the Workbasket web site.
If you would like to see this pattern stitched OVER ONE, check out Vonna's blog under her December 13, 2006 post!
I enjoyed participating in the week-end SAL & if you are interested in viewing more ornaments, see theOrnament SAL blog.
Cathy asked about how I plan to finish my freebie - Berthi's Birdbath. I am not sure! I stitched it just for fun. Just for me. I was in the mood for some repro sampler stitching that day.

Thanks for the link to the blog, I didn't know there was one! This is such a gorgeous freebie, Lelia. Love it!
Lelia, my goodness that is a lovely rendition! I love it!!!

I love your redo on the pot too!
:)
What a gorgeous ornament! I've actually spent the evening browsing my JCS magazines and picking out ornaments for the SAL weekends and I rejected this one, but having seen yours, I think I'm going to need to add it in. I love all your colour changes and the pot too :)
That is one of my favorite stitched ornaments! You did a lovely job!
Love it, GF! Congratulations :)
Congrats on the finish. It came out great.

It's beautiful, Lelia!!
I love your version of Pear Tree. Beautiful!
Wow, that is a lot of adjustments - and it came out beautifully!
Pear tree turned out very pretty, you really got it done quickly. I don't know why you think you're a slow stitcher, you seemed to have wizzed through this.

Beautiful finish Leila! I love the changings. I think I have that one on my list too
It's beautiful, Lelia! I think I might actually have to stitch this one now that I've seen yours. :)
I love your pear tree ornie - in fact I like the colours better than the original, and I might consider re-looking at it myself now :) Also, congrats on your Berthi's Birdbath finish - it turned out beautifully :D
